Catapult
A right hand for your business
Hand off the tasks nobody wanted. Keep the work you love.
THE TASKS THAT EAT UP YOUR TIME.
Reordering, paperwork, the follow-ups that slide to Friday and then to next Friday. None of it is why the doors are open, and all of it still has to get done. The work anyone could do crowds out the work only you can. This hands those tasks to something that actually does them, and gets that part of your week back.
What it is
You hear "AI" and you probably picture a chatbot — you ask a question, it answers. That's genuinely useful: it drafts an email, explains a form, gives you an answer at 11 at night when there's nobody to ask. If that's all you're after, a chatbot is a fine tool.
But a chatbot doesn't know you. Not your team, not your clients, not your vendors — and nothing about your goals or how the business runs. It can answer questions. It can't do your work.
This is agentic AI — an agent. Plainest way to say it: a chatbot is a smart stranger you ask questions; an agent is someone on your team. It knows how the business works, it does the actual task — writes the report, builds the list, sends the follow-up — and it remembers, so you're never starting over. You give it a name and tell it how things run, the way you would a new hire.
Most of the time it's bought for somebody — the person who keeps the place running, whose desk is never empty. This is for them: they hand off the tasks and get back to the work that needed them all along.
Chatbot vs. Agent
Both are AI. Both talk. Here's where they part ways:
| Chatbot | Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Talk to it in plain English | ✓ | ✓ |
| Built on real artificial intelligence | ✓ | ✓ |
| Knows you — your team, your clients, your vendors | ✗ | ✓ |
| Knows the goals and how the business is set up | ✗ | ✓ |
| Works across your tools, not one chat box | ✗ | ✓ |
| Does the task — not just tells you how | ✗ | ✓ |
| Remembers, so you're not starting over each time | ✗ | ✓ |
| Follows up so things don't slip | ✗ | ✓ |
| Learns how you want things done | ✗ | ✓ |
A chatbot is a tool you pick up. An agent is help you keep.
What you get
- The agent itself — introduces itself on day one, asks a few questions, remembers everything after that.
- Three printed guides — paper in your hand, not a video course you'll never finish.
- Work it already knows how to do — write a report, build a checklist, bring in a second agent for a different kind of task.
- Self-improving over time. Correct it once — you want one-page summaries — and it offers to write that into its own standing instructions, for good. Nothing sticks unless you say so.
You keep it. It sits on your own computer, on your own account — not a subscription running on somebody else's, and nothing switches off — ever. The agents are yours, built around your business, and they stay that way.
WHAT YOU NEED TO RUN IT · WHAT IT COSTS
What you need to run it
Five plain requirements. If any one is a no for you, tell me and we'll stop there. I'd rather say it now than after.
- A Windows PC. The setup pieces are Windows files. It will not run on a Mac — not yet.
- A real computer, not a phone. There's no phone version. If the business runs off a phone, this isn't for you today.
- A paid Claude plan — about $20 a month, paid to Anthropic, not to me. The free tier won't run it.
- Git for Windows. Free, but it's a developer installer — a long stack of Next buttons. The defaults are all correct; click straight through.
- One restart. Reboot the computer once after that install, and setup's done for good.
That's the whole list, up here on purpose. Anybody who buries the requirements is hoping you find out later.
What it costs
Most people's experience with AI is that twenty-dollar plan — ask it something, get a decent answer, move on. That's the same plan this runs on. Same twenty dollars, same account, still paid to Anthropic and not to me. What's different is the chart just below: it knows the business, it does the task, and it doesn't start over every time.
What you buy from me is the setup, one time. Not a subscription, not a seat, nothing that renews on you.
Here's how you get it: I come out and set it up with you. On your computer, with you sitting right there, and I walk you through your first day of actually using it. Nobody hands you a folder and wishes you luck — it's running in the business before I leave.
The number depends on what you need — let's talk.
How many businesses, how much of your world it has to learn — that's what moves the setup. I'd rather quote you the one that fits than hand you a price list to decode.
IT'S FASTER TO SHOW THAN TO EXPLAIN. BRING ONE THING OFF YOUR DESK.
Twenty minutes, your own work, on the screen in front of you. And if it's not a fit, I'll be the one to say so.
Dan@preparetocatapult.comWHO'S BEHIND THIS
Dan Coleman — Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Fifteen years running businesses here. I was wearing every hat, so I built this for my own businesses first — no developer, almost no budget, which is the part almost nobody's been told. I run them on it every day; mine's called Zorg. It's handled now. And it's no secret how it works — the method behind it is published and open, written up by researchers. This is that same thing, packaged for your business — and being the size you are, you don't need anyone's permission to try it.
